Microsoft's Lumia 950 And 950XL Specs, Release: Pre-order in Europe Now Available

Microsoft Corporation has unveiled the Lumia 950 and 950XL last Tuesday, October 6. This two smartphones were released together with the newest operating system made by the American tech giant -Windows 10. The newest smartphones are now made available through pre-order in Europe.

According to Softpedia both Lumia 950 and 950XL will be available on the market sometime in November. The information has been confirmed by Microsoft for the US market, but then it seems the devices won't come earlier in Europe either. However, there is good news for customers in Europe as they can already pre-order the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. 

Assuming that buyers live in one of the countries where retailers are now taking pre-orders for the Windows 10 Mobile smartphones, they dont' have to worry anymore about the shipping fee. If not, buyers will have to pay delivery fees, which depend on country they live in.

Meanwhile, Windows Phone fans in the UK will be pleased to know that both smartphones are now available for pre-order at various retailers including Clove, Unlocked Mobiles and Expansys.

Moreover, Digital Trends cited the specifications of both Lumia devices. The 5.2-inch Lumia 950 are armored with hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, working hand-in-hand with 3GB of RAM. This device comes with 32GB of internal storage space that is expandable thru MicroSD card slot that can hold up to 200GB. Lumia 950 is powered by a removable 3000 mAh capacity battery that can be wirelessly charged. The AMOLED 2560 x 1440 pixel screen is fitted to a 150 gram body that measures 8.2mm thick.

On the other hand, Lumia 950XL is engineered with Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and equipped it with the same amount of RAM and internal storage space. The removable battery's capacity has increased to 3340mAh and the screen size into 5.7-inches. Although both devices have the same 1440p resolution, Lumia 950XL is covered in Gorilla Glass 4, and Gorilla Glass 3 on the Lumia 950. The device is slightly heavier at 165 grams, and a little slimmer at 8.1mm respectively.

Phone Arena further added that both Lumia 950 and 950XL supports USB Type-C (reversible) and features NFC, Miracast, UMA (Wi-Fi Calling), Tethering, Computer sync, and OTA sync.

With these amazing specs, the Microsoft Corporation is hoping that Lumia 950 and 950XL will make a great competition to its rival in the tech industry. Meanwhile, for those who can no longer wait to have one of these devices in their hands, it is adviced to have their orders places as soon as possible.
