Fans are still waiting for Nintendo to announce the Super Smash Bros. 4 3rd party characters to be added in the game via DLC following the last day of voting last week. The top fan favorites which will likely make it include King K. Rool, Isaac, Shantae, or Shovel Knight. Meanwhile, the game developer has rolled out a small update, patch 1.1.2, weighing 22MB to address a glitch for Diddy Kong.

The Super Smash Bros. 4 DLC balloting for Nintendo's special promo was closed on October 3, last day where fans can cast their votes on their favorite 3rd party characters that they want to be included in the game's roster. However, the official results are not yet in and it remains to be seen whether it will be announced soon or it may take awhile for the publisher to do so. 

In earlier reports, a trace of evidence data mined from the game's lastest patch indicates that there's a chance of adding three 3rd party characters and stage slots to the popular title based on some game's codes.

According to Event Hubs, the top fan favorite characters include King K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country, Dixie Kong from Donkey Kong Country, Isaac from Golden Sun, Ridley from Metroid, and an Inkling from Splatoon. In addition, Nintendo has also got a go signal from Microsoft to feature Banjo-Kazooie as one of its DLC characters.

Moreover, Snake and Wolf are the insanely popular contenders for Super Smash Bros. 4 who already happened to appear in Smash Bros. Brawl. Shovel Knight and Shantae, on the other hand, have been consistently mentioned to be likely the next DLC characters for SuperSmash Bros. 4 while some fans also requested for Britney Spears.

In related news, Nintendo has recently launched Super Smash Bros. 4 Patch 1.1.2, a small update with a size of 22MB for both Wii U and 3DS platforms. Nintendo Enthusiast reports that the new update is released to address a glitch for Diddy Kong.

Gamers had discovered that Diddy Kong was difficult to get at times and turned out to be such a bug especially in the middle of tough online battles. The new patch is an automatic download in the system.
