A new interesting leak has surfaced online surrounding the Super Smash Bros. 4 DLC new 3rd party video game characters coming to the game. An official fan poll is conducted as part of Nintendo's special promo ending on October 3 but the ballot results are yet to be revealed anytime soon.

According to iDigital Times, it is very much possible that more than one new character will be added in Super Smash Bros. 4 DLC. This news came to light following the recent release of a free update where a data miner was able to dig a secret code.

This secret code posted on NeoGaf via Nintendo Everything has revealed three slots for the new characters and two stages for the upcoming fan voted character expansion. The leaked screenshot showed three lines which read "mario+7" indicating placeholders for character slots.

The Nintendo special promo launched for Super Smash Bros. 4 will allow gamers to vote for a 3rd party video game character that will be featured next in the game's roster. The official results will soon be in after the closing vote date on later last week.

As reported earlier, top 5 fan favorites were already outed with Shantae Half-Genie Hero taking the number 1 spot based on an unofficial poll done on a Reddit forum. Shantae Half-Genie Hero from WayForward Technologies' platform video game has topped the 5 favorite characters with 209 votes, a 100 more votes more than the second in the results, Shovel Knight.

In the meantime, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U fan can relish more fun with the latest free update and new DLC available for purchase. The new patch added Duck Huntstage for Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS and the ability to upload match replay highlights to YouTube for Wii U.

While waiting for the announcement on who will be the new DLC character/s from official results of Nintendo special promo, gamers can avail now of Super Smash Bros. 4 new Mii Fighter costumes like Fox of the Star Fox series, Toad outfits, and a Pirate Ship stage for Wii U inspired by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Super Mario Maker stage is also out for the two versions.
