The second season opener of the CW hit series will see a guilt-filled Barry as he works on his own in keeping everything in Central City in order. Two days ahead of the series' season 2 premiere, more promotional videos were released, seeing Jay Garrick and Barry in one scene.

"The Flash" season 2 episode 1 titled, "The Man Who Saved Central City," will pick up months after the incidents of last season's finale. According to The Futon Critic, Barry Allen is still struggling from the repercussions of the Singularity attack, leaving Eddie as one of the casualties.

Unable to forgive himself for Eddie's death, Barry has chosen to work alone in order to protect both his friends and the city. Things will take a different turn when the meta-human Atom Smasher, played by guest star Adam Copeland, attacks Central City. Iris (Candice Patton) will try to convince Barry that he needs the help of his friends in keeping the city safe from any threat. Will Barry accept his friends' aid and finally forgive himself?

The CW has also released the synopsis for episode 2 titled, "The Flash of Two Worlds," which will introduce Jay Garrick from Earth 2, Comic Book Resources reported. Garrick will try to warn Barry and his team about the arrival of the big baddie speedster named Zoom. Elsewhere, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) will be dealing with Patty, played by guest star Shantal VanSanten, a determined officer who wants to join his meta-human task force.

One of the recently released promotional videos of season 2 shows the two Flash shaking hands, which delighted the fans of the hit series. Aside from Teddy Sears who will play Earth 2's Flash, new characters also include Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Tokamak, and Tony Todd as the voice of the evil speedster Zoom, Coming Soon wrote.
