At the previously held Google event in San Francisco last September 29, the search engine giant has also released the Chromecast 2 alongside other new products. Currently, the content streamer is on sale at $35 through Google Store.

Google has announced a pair of latest Chromecast devices, which are created to be more reliable, easier to use, and just as inexpensive as the original version. The Chromecast 2 comes with the Chromecast Audio, a brand-new device for home-network audio streaming.

In July 2013, Google launched the original Chromecast. It is an ordinary HDMI dongle that supports Android applications and allows users to cast the content of their computer, tablet, or smartphone onto their television using the Chromecast application. However, this original version did not launch any sports application.

The all-new Chromecast 2 works on the similar principles as its predecessor. It is still a way to watch content from the users' handsets to their televisions. But this time, the "finding" content is made easier than it was before. New additions include Spotify, NFL Sunday Ticket by DirecTV, YouTube Kids, and Google Photos.

When it comes to its design, it has undergone a revamp. The Chromecast 2 takes the form of circular device with the Chrome logo printed on it and comes in black, coral, and yellow colors. The HDMI cable is now attached to make plugging easier than ever. Additionally, it has a convenient, portable design, which is the reason why it is designed to travel. The device also works with Android devices, Windows PC, Chromebooks, iPhones, Macs, and iPads.

Furthermore, the Chromecast 2 includes support for the latest 802.11ac standard, less congested 5Ghz band, as well as provides speedy data transfer than the original Chromecast. It weighs 39.1 grams and contains adaptive antenna system for a better WiFi experience. In addition, it casts in 1080 pixel display whenever possible and can be used to play mobile games on a television screen with minimal delay.

On the other hand, the Chromecast Audio is built for the users' speakers. It has an 8mm jack, which can be plugged directly into a speaker system turning them into wireless speakers. Moreover, it is compatible with Spotify. In the meantime, the user can only cast one speaker at a time.

Overall, the Chromecast 2 is a great catch, considering its affordable price and top-of-the-line features. Head to Google Store and grab a pair today!
