SiteScout Acquires Adbrite Assets

SiteScout, the largest self-service media purchase platform, announced that it had acquired through its subsidiary, intellectual property assets developed by AdBrite. No other details of the deal were disclosed as they were deemed confidential.

AdBrite is one of the very first advertising networks in the business. It was established back in 2002 and became an ad exchange. The company closed shop in February 2013. With the purchase of the assets, SiteScout is abnle to acquire cutting-edge video capability, data management services as well as optimization technology. This is the next step in integrating the various products for digital marketers.

According to SiteScout CEO Paul Mokbel, "SiteScout is committed to providing marketers of all sizes with access to best-in-class technology. We have a long track record of developing tools that our customers ask for, and this deal will enhance our ability to deliver new technologies and capabilities quickly."

SiteScout would allow advertisers to bid, purchase and serve online ad inventories in real time.
