Men's online shop Combat Gent gains $1.84 million in seed money

Online men's merchandise retailer Combat Gent received $1.84 million in seed funding from investors including VegasTechFund, Greycroft Partners, Naxuri Capital, MHS Capital, Blazer Ventures, and Flint and Tinder's Jake Bornstein.

Combat Gent's co-founders Vishaal and Mo Melwani have been named as venture partners at Fashion Tech Accelerator as part of the partnership. FTA is a Silicon Valley program which targets startups in the fashion and apparel industry.

Combat Gent sells men's wear including suits, ties, pants and an upcoming denim line. The company is an online shop the equips men with everything the need to get the job done, according to its press release.

In their new positions, Vishaal and Mo Melwani wil assist start-ups in crucial decisions including company selection and transactions.

In line with the company's expansion, Combat Gent will launch its latest products which include Italian-made shirts, supplied with new partner Andreazza and Castelli. Andreazza and Castelli is a shirting fabrics supplier.

Chief Executive Officer of Combat Gent Vishaal Melwani said, "We're looking forward to expanding our partnership with FT Accelerator and excited about the new additions to our product line. With this funding round, Combat Gent will remain focused on staying true to its design ethic and customer service values while creating new partnerships and scaling the business."
