LG is set to unveil exciting surprises during its October 1 event. As the invitations were sent out on Monday, the South Korean tech giant confirmed the upcoming event, which will be held in New York.

The LG event comes after the Google event, which is set to unveil its two new Nexus smartphones, and days before Microsoft holds a Windows 10 event in New York. The invites that were given away did not give any hints as to what to expect on October 1. However, the one thing that is sure is that the event will be movie-themed.

While the details on the forthcoming LG event remains unknown, rumor has it that the company might unveil its latest flagship handset, the LG V10. This smartphone is expected to come with secondary ticker display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 5.7-inch QHD resolution. It will also sport a 64GB of internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper, microSD support, and a removable battery.

As LG releases a 15-second long teaser video, it seems to confirm the speculations about the unveiling of LG V10 on October 1. The video shows a lady with bangs, having the left side of its stylish bangs cut off. The surprise comes when the trim's outline turns into a part of a phone, which looks like a ticker notification display and a couple camera lenses. The image might be familiar to those who have been following the LG rumors. It actually resembles the alleged LG V10.

In exactly a week's time, everyone will witness what is really in store for the LG event. All rumors and speculations will finally be answered then. Thus, all LG users and speculators must save the date, October 1. It will be a day full of big surprises and LG won't disappoint everyone.
