Asset management bank and investment firm Piper Jaffray Companies announced on Monday that it has finalized the deal to acquire Edgeview Partners, LP. Financial terms on the buyout were undisclosed. Edgeview Partners, LP is a merger and acquisition advising firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The firm focuses on middle market firms and private equity companies.

Piper Jaffray Companies operates internationally and is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The partnership of the two financial firms fortifies Piper Jaffray's merger and acquisition headship in the middle market, according to PJC.

"We are pleased to welcome this highly experienced team of M&A professionals to our firm. Edgeview's client-centric culture, middle-market advisory capabilities and financial sponsors focus is well-aligned with our business," Piper Jaffray chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Duff said. "Expanding our M&A practice represents a key step forward in executing the firm's growth strategy," he explained.
