Online marketing company SiteWit raises over $1.5m

SiteWit, a search engine marketing company, acquired more than $1.5 million in Series A funding from several investors today. Stage 1 Investors is reported to have been among the firms who backed SiteWit.

SiteWit optimizes business websites and provides online marketing strategies to small and medium sized companies. It uses tools to improve conversion ratios of online audiences to client and growth in revenue. SiteWit operates mainly on the Google AdWords, Bing Ads, and Yahoo platform.

"I believe SiteWit has a unique opportunity to grow tremendously by helping small and medium sized businesses worldwide significantly increase revenues," said lead investor in the funding Jon Gordon, Managing Director of Stage 1 Investors.

Ricardo Lasa, SiteWit's Chief Executive Officer, stated that they are "pleased with the capital commitment and confidence expressed by Stage 1 Investors and our other recent investors." He continued to say that "with these investments and our focus on the SME market we have the ability to become the leader in this space."
