"Person of Interest" Season 5 Update: Michael Emerson confirms Sarah Shahi returns on the show; Carrie Preston appears in the upcoming season

With the shorter run of 13 episodes for 'Person of Interest' Season 4, Emerson teases that the upcoming season may have an explosive ending. His character, Harold will be having a dramatic change this year. Moreover, he confirms that Preston is set to appear this season and Shahi returns to the cast.

As mentioned on Assignment X, Emerson finally confirms that Carrie Preston will be appearing in the upcoming season. Aside Preston, Sarah Shahi will also have a major comeback to the cast. Shahi's character Shaw appears in the second half of the season. The actress is currently in talks for a multi-episode run back on the TV series.

On the side note, Emerson's role Harold Finch will have a dramatic shift happening in his character. This upcoming season, they will explore how someone transfer some burdens to others as mentioned on M Starz.

Other than that, actor Michael Emerson stated that the previous season may be the last one. However, the story is welcome to open some doors in case it gets renewed for the 6th season. Emerson added some details that the upcoming season may end with casualties. 'Person of Interest' Season 5 may either lose some characters or have them transformed.

Moreover, executive producer Greg Plageman teased that this year's 13 episodes, the production staff are planning for an amazing ending. The final 3 episodes for the 5th season is preparing something amazing for the fans as reported on Christian Today

Emerson teases the fans about what's in store for his character as Harold Finch in the upcoming season. As a side note, he reveals Sarah of becoming a part of the cast again and Carrie who will play in the set this 5th season.

Person of Interest' returns in its midseason next year. CBS strategized to pull more viewers by putting the first 3 seasons for online streaming via Netflix and its 4th season will follow on Sept. 22, 2015. The first 4 episodes of the show is already airing on WGN America.
