American Capital named Susan Nestegard as newest member of its Board of Directors. The decision was made through a vote made today, after a majority chose to increase the Board to nine members. The empy position was then immediately voted upon, with Nestegard winning the new position.

"We are very excited to have Susan join our Board of Directors," said Capital's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Malon Wilkus."She brings a wealth of corporate operational experience and insight, which will be invaluable to American Capital as we continue to invest in middle market companies and offer them large corporate expertise to enhance their performance," he added.

The new member of the Board is formerly Ecolab's Executive Vice President and President. Working in the healthcare sector until 2012, Nestegard has over 20 years of industry experience.

"I expect she will contribute in many important ways in the years ahead and be a great addition to our Board," Wilkus commented.
