Berkley Properties headed by Michael Silberberg and 601W Companies led by Mark Karasick invested more than US$100 million for the recapitalization of Chicago's Prudential Plaza Office Towers. The investment groups will also take a controlling interest over the said recapitalization deal.

The investment is a new start of partnership with the two groups and BentleyFrobes, the operator and long-time owner of the towers. The said agreement made BentleyForbes to move forward as an ownership partner.

The new partners have immediate plans to push through with improvement on its assets. This also included redevelopment of retail concourse of the property. Common areas, leasing commissions, marketing and future tenant improvements are also among the urgent plans to be initiated by the company.

The new partnership of the three most accomplished private real estate groups in the country will focus on modernizing the Prudential Plaza One office that was originally built in 1995.
