Rockstar Games is still not confirming any release date for "GTA 6", but assured fans of the franchise that a sequel will happen.  And it might add up a female lead in its character lineup.

According to Rockstar Games Studio Head Leslie Banzies, "GTA 6" will not come out in the near future, but has different ideas for the sequel, as mentioned in the Vine Report.  Banzies further explained that the game begins with a concept in mind, to be able to figure out the different missions of the game, and next in line will be the maps and the story.

The story line may still be indefinite, but Rockstar Games vice president Dan Houser declared that the team had been considering to add up a female lead in "GTA 6", as fans have long been clamoring for it.  Eva Mendes is rumored to take this role, coming from a popular car action franchise herself - the "Fast and Furious".

For some time, Rockstar Game had been unable to include female characters in their lineup, along with the current "GTA 5" and in its DLCs and expansions.  Meanwhile, real-life partner of Mendes, Ryan Gosling had already accepted to play "GTA 6"'s protagonist.  This installment might see a 1980s theme in Vice City, said to be tailored for the actor; but again, no announcements yet were made with regard to the location as well.

On the other hand, fans are said to be divided on including women in the series, according to the Christian Post.  While others did not like the portrayal of women in "GTA 5", some are expectant on having a female protagonist in "GTA 6".  There were speculations that Rockstar might altogether decide on a single lead character.

On the other hand, fans had long been wanting for character customization - when it comes to clothes, accessories, looks, and the like - so as to make it more relatable.  More on fans' wishes for "GTA 6" include:  retro look of the 1970s with the Mafioso and crooked politicians; adventures in newer cities; more missions especially "money-making missions", such as having a job, joining in the army or the police, or simply stealing from banks.

Movie Pilot, on the other hand, reported that those who want to join the military in "GTA", will have a chance on "GTA 6".  According to the grapevine, the military heists will happen in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, or London.  This mission type will be for story mode and will be marked by MH.  Other details include players being able to choose three members from a marketable asset of choice, including these persons:  Francisco Richmon, Chad Vespucci, Kurt Valley, Michael Stone, Chef, Norm, and/or Packie.  Each crew member has their own skill sets, but can be improved as they progress in the game.

"GTA 5" was released on September 17, 2013.  The game broke industry sales records and became the fastest-selling entertainment product in history, earning $800 million on its first day alone, and $1 billion on its first three days.  It had been equally praised because of its multiple protagonist design, open world presentation, and gameplay.  It's no wonder that fans are calling for "GTA 6", while Rockstar Games don't want to rush on anything, so as to make another credible and saleable "Grand Theft Auto" title.
