Reported preparing for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow release, LG and mobile carriers in the US are reported to roll out the much-anticipated software later this month as it debuts. LG's flagship smartphones G4, G3 and G2 are expected to be among the select devices to receive Marshmallow's grand debut.

Although LG has kept mum about its future Android releases, reports are still firm that the South Korean tech titan will be skipping final Lollipop OS software version over Android 6.0 Marshmallow. According to previous reports, LG is on the verge of preparing new features and improvements to incorporate with Google's OS.

This report has been made stronger when major mobile carriers in the US AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon are also busy preparing native updates to include in Marshmallow when Google and Motorola releases the green light.

Some mid-range smartphones and tablets of LG like G Vista, G Pad 7.0, G Flex 2, Leon, G Stylo, Optimus L90 already received the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update since last month until last week. This only means that the skipping report might only be applicable to flagships devices of the company. There has been no final however coming straight from LG.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is reported to release later this month through over-the-air update. This automatic update comes only to devices connected to a Wi-Fi. It is recommended not to use data connection to avoid interruptions.

If notified for the download, ensure battery life is still at 50% before downloading the update. Storage should have an extra memory space depending on the download's file size. The update will come in stages which means it will come to other units on a later time.
