Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & Galaxy Grand Prime on T-Mobile Receives Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Guide

T-Mobile has officially released earlier this week the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update via over-the-air (OTA) download to Samsung Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Grand Prime. The update comes with new features and improvements, plus android security patches and minor bug fixes.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is downloadable via a good Wi-Fi connection. Before proceeding to the installation, make sure the battery is charged up to at least 50 percent, while storage should have an extra memory space depending on the download's file size.

To check the software version of the phone, just go to Home > Settings > About phone.

1. Go to Settings from app tray or pull down menu.
2. Select More.
3. Select About Device.
4. Select Software Update.
5. Follow onscreen instructions.
