Amazon is venturing on meal delivery partnering with restaurants near Seattle, and is currently hiring jobs for the Seattle headquarter and in New York.

Amazon Inc. is currently hiring staff for its newest division; the Amazon Restaurants. The department is opening 15 job vacancies in Seattle and New York. Six separate postings are from Amazon Restaurant and Travel.

Earlier this year, five Amazon employees have changed their profiles in LinkedIn indicating their work at Amazon Restaurants. Another employee joined in from GrubHub, cited by Reuters.

Amazon Local, the eCommerce site for local deals such as entertainment, travel, pubs, food and shopping had teamed up with various Seattle restaurants for meal orders. Deliveries are consequently assigned to Amazon Prime Now staffs.

Last month, it was reported that Amazon is testing its food delivery system with Prime Now. Staffs from the shipping service told Geek Wire that they will handle the food delivery which is manifested on Prime Now's distribution facility in Seattle instructing the drivers some important guidelines to make order pickups from the restaurants.

The eCommerce company is preparing its order service, performing tests among its employees to make orders in restaurants with assistance from Prime Now.

Amazon Local will expand the meal deliver to other locations soon. But as of now, the trial version is only held in Seattle. There are 76 restaurants available near the area with all types of cuisine including A Pizza Mart, Mustardseed Café, Chandler's Crabhouse and Hitchcock Deli Georgetown.

Select either 'take out' or 'delivery' and type your address. Click the restaurant of your choice and the menu list will be displayed along with the price. Pay your order through your Amazon account.

Amazon is founded in 1995 by Jeff Bezos. It started selling books and became a popular website because of its tremendous selection of books. The owner believes that there is no place they could offer million titles to book lovers except for the Internet.

As read on its LinkedIn post, 30 days after it was launched, Amazon had served 45 countries and 50 states with all of it accommodated by Seattle headquarter only.

Today, the website sells everything you could think of. From clothes, gadgets, furniture, movies; even hotel bookings.

The hiring of personnel for the Restaurants section means that Amazon never stops creating new innovation to make people's lives convenient, and food will never be out of trend.
