Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 under AT&T is now live getting the official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update. First rolled out last September 2, the update releases to units with model number SM-G750A.

AT&T finally rolled out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop to its units of Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 skipping the Android 5.0, 5.0.2, and 5.1, bringing with it a few tweaks and improvements. The software update needs a good Wi-Fi connection and has to be charged up to at least 50 percent to prevent interruption.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software version will bring in improved OS software design, improved settings, enhanced notifications, screen pinning, new recent apps, share your device, better visibility for Recents and Calendar, and device security improvements.

There is no expected impression to settings and data, users are advised to back up media files to an SD card, PC or any storage app before proceeding to the installation. Samsung Kies can be used in backing up files and restoring them later.
