StarCraft 2: Legacy Of The Void Release Date Set in December; Blizzard's Livestream Event on Sep 13 To Unveil Cinematic and MAJOR Features

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void will be finally be launched in December this year as confirmed by game developer Blizzard Entertainment who will be hosting a livestream on September 13 showing the new expansion's cinematic, revealing the official release date, and discussing the game's major features.

iDigitalTimes reports that StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void finally has a release window revealed to be happening in December 2015 instead of the first quarter of 2016 when Heart of the Swarm was released. This means that the story of StarCraft which started in 1998 will soon reach its end.

Prior to the big launch this Holiday Season, Blizzard Entertainment will be hosting a livestream showing off the expansion's cinematic, discussing its features, and revealing its official release date. According to IGN, fans can watch the livestream on September 13 at the official StarCraft Twitch TV channel, 10am PDT.

Moreover, those who are in Southern California can watch the event at the Blizzard Barcraft in downtown Los Angeles at the Theater at Ace Hotel hosted by William "Chobra" Cho.

In earlier news, StarCraft 2:Legacy of the Void release date has been confirmed  to arrive this year when Activision Blizzard, the parent corporation of Blizzard Entertainment, revealed during its Q2 2015 earnings report last month that the next expansion to StarCraft 2 will be released in 2015.

Blizzard also announced the Automated Tournament to the game expansion and can be played after the next Legacy of the Void beta update. Players can join ranked tournaments organized automatically by the servers that is of the players in the same level and will function as a bracket instead of the ladder matches.

Announced during BlizzCon 2014, StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void is the final expansion developed by game developer Blizzard Entertainment to be released in December 2015 for PC and Mac OS X platforms.
