'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' is currently in the works with Matthew Vaughn writing the script under 20^th Century Fox. He may also return to direct the sequel. Mark Millar, creator of the comic books the film was adapted from, says that bringing back Colin Firth's character is possible.

According to Yahoo! Movies, Vaughn confirmed that they are pushing through with a sequel for the successful spy movie that came out in 2014. He said, "The good news is I'm writing it next door at the moment. And if I think I can the script good enough, then we're making it ... we're doing our damnedest to make that happen." He admitted that he didn't usually enjoy making follow-ups but he loved the film's characters so much that he'd be just fine breaking his own rules.

In another article by Screen Rant, the 'X-Men', 'Kick-Ass' and 'Stardust' director hinted that a new American agent may be introduced in the upcoming film. It was also reported that he may already be eyeing someone to play the part although he took cares not to reveal anything further. He also mentioned that he might return to direct once more if all goes well.

Mark Millar also revealed that although Colin Firth's character Harry Hart a.k.a. Galahad saw his demise in the first film, the British actor wanted to return for 'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' and be a part in some way, according to Slash Film. Millar pointed out two possible scenarios should Firth come back for the sequel.

He said, "You can either go on and make it Lethal Weapon, where you have Colin and Taron [Edgerton] as, you know, two buddies who essentially go out and solve international situations. Or you can make it Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker with Colin as the mentor, the teacher who died and the student becomes the master. And then he goes on to greatness."

'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' is an upcoming action-comedy spy film based on the comic book by Millar called 'The Secret Service'. It is the sequel to the 2014 hit that earned $406 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Its plot followed the training and recruitment of a young Londoner to become a new secret agent in an espionage organization called Kingsman.
