Robert Downey Jr. will most likely still be the highest paid actor in the next 5 years if he chooses to continue portraying the role as Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4." News about RDJ being replaced by a younger actor is stamped out. Director Shane Black says that he is sure of it.

The Master Herald  reports that Robert Downey Jr. is asking for a raise for the upcoming "Iron Man 4" film. Robert wants a $50 million salary increase if he is to continue donning the iron man suite. He reportedly earned $50 million in "Iron Man 3." If Marvel is to grant his request he will earn $100 million and maybe more in the fourth Iron Man sequel. Downey reportedly earned a whopping $80 million for his participation in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" alone. This is nothing compared to how much Marvel earned globally for the third sequel which reportedly reached to $1 billion in ticket sales.

In another report taken from Christian Post, Production schedule is put on hold due to Robert Downey's request for an increase in "Iron Man 4." Although this may not be new to a lot of RDJ's avid fans because he has actually been king of the hill now for the third time in a row. The Forbes list has placed Robert Downey Jr. for this year. Jackie Chan is close behind with $50 million and then Vin Diesel with $47 million.

With Downey's demand in his salary cap and his previous vocal intentions of hanging up the iron suite, previous speculations of Robert being replaced by a younger actor is negated. This is based on Director Shane Black's confirmation that he was quite sure that Robert Downey Jr. will be back for sequel.

While things are still at a blur for who will really be in it for "Iron Man 4," one thing is that Robert Downey Jr. is celebrating is his 10th year wedding anniversary with his wife. ET report that RDJ posted a photo in his Instagram account of himself and his wife with a caption "A perfect 10. Happy Anniversary, Mrs. Downey." It is no secret that Robert has given his wife a great deal of credit for his success not just in his career but also in his personal life. All was taken into light about Downey's addiction to drugs and alcohol. He also took the opportunity to let the world know that his wife,Susan, is pregnant with their daughter Avri.

"Iron Man 4" will be released on the year 2020. Considering the earnings "Iron Man 3" reached $1.22 billion and that a massive following at tow, RDJ might return wearing the iron suite once more. There is a greater possibility that Marvel Studios will give Robert Downey Jr. his request for a raise than getting Ty Simpskins to replace him in the role.
