Resident Evil: The Final Chapter to conclude series; Ali Larter says script will not disappoint fans

Ali Larter who plays Claire Redfield in the Resident Evil franchise confirmed that the upcoming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will indeed be the last instalment. Project Alice will go against time in the upcoming film in order to stop the Red Queen's evil plan.

As reported by Digital Trends, Larter recently revealed that the upcoming film will serve as the conclusion to the 15 year run of the Resident Evil franchise that started in 2002. Though not allowed to reveal much details about the plot, Larter said that the script for the upcoming film will not disappoint the fans.

"We are not allowed to say one thing. I am held to secrecy, but what I can tell you is that the script is amazing. They're really wrapping up the whole series, so that just makes it a little more poignant. To be able to come back and reprise my role as Claire and my relationship with Alice, with Umbrella Corp. - you know, I'm excited to get back in it. I think the fans are just going to be beyond excited." Larter said.

According to Screen Rant, The Final Chapter will begin principal photography in South Africa in September with writer and director Paul W.S. Anderson to direct the sequel and Milla Jovovich is set to reprise her role as Alice.

As reported by Deadline, the upcoming film will feature Project Alice going against time to stop the Red Queen's evil attempt to destroy the remnants of humanity.

Though not yet confirmed, other actors rumored to join the cast are Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield, Li Bingbing as Ada Wong, and Johan Urb as Leon S. Kennedy.However, more details about Resident Evil: The Final Chapter are expected to be revealed in the coming months towards it official release date on january 27, 2017.
