The cast of "Star Trek Beyond" have partnered with Omaze to offer charitable fans the walk-on role of a lifetime.

The "Star Trek: To Boldly Go" campaign will allow Trekkies the opportunity to support nine charities chosen by the series reboot actors. Each cast member's selected campaign charity will receive an equal portion of the total raised funds when participants go above and beyond with donation efforts. The reward is a chance to win a walk-on role in director Justin Lin's "Star Trek Beyond."

In a most recent promo video for the cause, Idris Elba and the current Captain Kirk, Chris Pine, take part in a light-hearted video asking for donations to the Omaze charity group. Every $10 entry supports nine global organizations each nominated by members of the cast including Make A Wish and Heaven Homes.

In addition to the grand prize of a walk-on role in "Star Trek Beyond," they will randomly select an additional winner each week to join the "To Boldly Go Crew." The members of this honorary crew will visit the set, hang with the cast, and watch as they film scenes from the new film. Fans donating at the highest levels have the opportunity to score swag like a signed red shirt or a replica captain's chair.

On Tuesday, an open casting call went up the Facebook page of Miranda Davidson Studios that says the largest feature film to be shot in Dubai in over 5 years. It was not confirmed that the casting call is for "Star Trek Beyond," but it is the only major production filming in the city over the next few months. It calls for anyone between the ages of six and 70, of any nationality or ethnicity.

Zachary Quinto (as Spock), Zoe Saldana (as Uhura) and Simon Pegg (as Scotty) are all also returning for the third installment. Pegg  who is also co-writing the script was asked how much pressure he was under to finish the "Star Trek" script. He said: "There is a lot of pressure."

The film, Star Trek Beyond, will be the third film in the legendary franchise reboot. The release date for Beyond is July 8, 2016. The campaign runs until 11:59 p.m. PST,September 1.
