It was only a few months ago that we saw Charlize Theron star in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'. Her fierce and strong character showed us exactly what Theron is all about. As a committed actress that takes her work very seriously, Theron has starred in many movies that allow her to fulfil different roles and characters. But Theron is not all about acting as she's also a producer and fashion model. Brains, beauty and talent, Charlize Theron definitely knows how to amaze her fans.

The Southern African American actress, is also starring in the latest film 'Dark Places', directed and written by Gilles Paquet-Brenner. Alongside Theron, actors Chloe Grace Mortez, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan and Christina Hendricks will also be starring in the film that's scheduled to be released this August 7, the same day Theron turns 40.

Charlize Theron plays the role of Libby Day. In the movie Libby is confronted with traumatic childhood memories, she was only 7 years old when her mother and two sisters were brutally murdered in their home. The traumatized little girl blames and accuses her older brother Ben who is only 16 years old. Ben ends up facing life in prison at the hands of his little sister; however after 25 long years, the now 32 year old woman sees herself in a desperate situation that may end up helping her discover the truth of what really happened all those years ago.

Theron has had an outstanding career over the last two decades starring in many award winning movies and alongside many other famous Hollywood stars. She is often praised for her talent and ability to transform herself emotionally into the character.

In an interview with novel writer Gillian Flynn who wrote the book turned film, the author expressed how happy she was that Theron was the one playing the role of Libby. Though Flynn was not the screen writer of the project she said "I wasn't remotely unconcerned that Charlize didn't look like Libby because she felt like Libby from the second that she got into Libby's soul." Flynn also mentioned that she 'was unconcerned with the physicality and that Theron was in fact the perfect choice.'
