As Grimm season 5 filming have already begun, the cast and crew of the series have revealed some interesting spoilers for the new season. Grimm's main male lead David Giuntoli (who plays the protagonist Nick Burkhardt) mentioned during this year's San Diego Comic Con how his character's mindset will probably be taking a dark turn in light of what occurred during the season four finale.

The Latin Post reported that Giuntoli's character on Grimm season 5 will be taking on a possible revenge plot. The season four finale showcased how the series have come to a much darker turn after Nick was convinced that his girlfriend Juliette (played by Bitsie Tulloch) deserved to die after he found out that she murdered his mother. However, Nick realized his love for Juliette. Unfortunately though for Nick, Trubel (played by Jacqueline Toboni) came just in time to help Nick kill Juliette. The misunderstanding led to Juliette's death caused by Trubel who shot two arrows through Juliette. Although Nick might have lost the love of his life in the season finale, fans who are expecting for a budding romance for Nick can await what Nick will do upon knowing that Adalind is carrying his child.

Other news regarding Grimm season 5 was the rumored series reboot that seems to be circulating the web. It was stated that Grimm, despite the popularity of the time-skip storyline, will not be following the trend and will instead pick up right where the series last left off in season four. However, reports of a series reboot might be in the works for Grimm. The return of Rosalee Calvert (played by Bree Turner) in the series could create a significant twist for this upcoming season.

In addition, despite the vindictive turn that Nick might be transitioning into, season 5 will showcase a more fatherly side to him as the series producers David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf have revealed in Showbiz Junkies. According to Kouf and Greenwalt, Nick will be using his son as inspiration and motivation for him to move on in his life.

Grimm season 5 will be returning to NBC this October 30.
