Fans of Liv and Peyton's friendship can now breathe a sigh of relief since latest news about CW's "iZombie" includes the confirmation of Aly Michalka's appearance in season 2. Meanwhile, David Anders excitedly revealed that Blaine's non-zombie side will be explored on the upcoming season.

When the stars of the CW hit crime-drama attended the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, they hinted major plots of "iZombie" season 2. The people surrounding Rose McIver's Liv will be pretty much unhappy towards her decision to hide her real identity, reports TVLine

Executive producer Rob Thomas said, "Major is still not quite over the fact that Liv did not let him in on her zombie secret, Peyton is still on her walkabout around Europe and for reasons you all have probably seen, [Liv is] on the outs with any surviving family members she has." He added, "It's going to be a depressing art film next year."

Although it is a good thing that Aly Michalka will once again play as Peyton in the series, she may struggle with the truth about Liv's identity in the sophomore season. This will also be the case for Major, played by Robert Buckley, who will have a new perception in season 2 after the events in the last season's finale.

In the same TVLine article, David Anders expressed his excitement towards Blaine's character development in the series. The actor revealed that his character will be humanized next season, which is good for his acting experience.

The stars of the hit CW series also told Entertainment Weekly that fans can expect more brains in "iZombie" season 2, specifically from a grumpy old man and from a frat boy.

Aly Michalka will reprise her role in "iZombie" season 2 but might struggle in accepting her best friend's zombie mode. Fans of the CW series should also watch out for Blaine's non-zombie side when it returns this October 6.
