StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Pre-Order Grants Early Access to FREE 'Whispers of Oblivion'; Blizzard Launches Short Action Film

A beta version of StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void was launched two months ago and while the game is still in development, Blizzard has announced that they will be releasing Whispers of Oblivion, a prologue to the final expansion of Starcraft 2.

"Whispers of Oblivion is a special three-mission prologue series that has been created to bridge the storyline between Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void," states in the StarCraft official website.

In the news it explains, "In Whispers of Oblivion, players will join Zeratul for the first time since Wings of Liberty to unravel the final piece of the Xel'naga prophecy."

StarCraft 2: Whispers of Oblivion will be free for everyone and prior to that, Blizzard will be giving early access to the Prologue missions for those who have pre-ordered StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. Check out the trailer from this link.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void is the second expansion of the StarCraft 2 series which is to focus primarily on the Protoss race with Artanis as its main protagonist character.

Meanwhile, a four-minute action film was made by a StarCraft which is titled The Rush. The title is inspired by a term called "Zerg Rush", a strategy that gamers use by creating as many units as possible in a quick amount of time in order to attack their opponents before they can fully mobilize.

The short film is directed by Freddie Wong and Matthew Arnold which features Ellary Porterfield and Nico David. It is described as "an intense StarCraft fan film that ended up being a lot darker than I was expecting." Check out the link to the film on YouTube.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void, developed for Windows PC and Mac OS X, began a beta testing on March 31 that featured a host of new multiplayer but was only offered to a select few gamers.
