God of War 4 was a no-show at E3 2015 that might have disappointed a lot of fans but Sony could have other plans for the upcoming title that it had to skip the prestigious event and save a big bang of surprises at the GamesCom this August. This is following the release of the game's prologue, God of War 3 HD Remaster, which is all set to release on July 14.

Reportedly, Sony Santa Monica which is behind the development of God of War 4 was noticeably nowhere to find from Sony's historical showcase contrary to how the game pundits and fans had predicted. IBTimes cites that it is possible that the game developer is eyeing to make some surprise appearance and unveiling at the Gamescom in August. This assumption seem to fit the right timing following the release of the HD Remaster version of the title's prequel, God of War 3.

Right now, pre-orders for God of War 3 HD Remaster are up and available with several special bonuses offered to digital buyers. For every digital pre-order for the game entitles the gamers to a 90-day rental of both God of War and its sequel for the PlayStation Now. In addition, advanced purchases come with a God of War - Fall of Olympus PS4 theme.

This remastered PS4 exclusive provide the fans access to stream PlayStation Now library of games to Sony devices including PS3, PSVita, and PlayStation TV.

This new HD Remaster of God of War 3 will feature a photo mode to "freeze the brutal action mid-swing," which becomes the players' better option than the lackluster PS4 screenshot feature.

The release of God of War 3 HD Remaster is officially confirmed July 14 and said to be serve as prologue to new players of the game series. Meanwhile, details on the development of God of War 4 is now expected to be unveiled by Sony at GamesCom this coming August. Stay tuned.
