Quentin Tarantino's Western "The Hateful Eight" is coming to this year's San Diego Comic-Con with a Hall H presentation set for Saturday, July 11, at 1:30 in the afternoon, the Weinstein Company has announced. The Civil War-era flick is slated to premiere in 70mm this Christmas, and a follow-up digital debut on January 2017.

The fans might not be getting updates of Marvel Studio's future slates at San Diego Comic Con this summer, but there is still a lot of good stuff that is waiting to get a glimpse at in a couple weeks. Apart from Star Wars' recently-confirmed appearance, Slash Film reports that Quentin Tarantino's gun-toting action flick will be attending the big event too.

According to Variety, the "Django" director's newest film will be making a presentation in Hall H on the afternoon of July 11th.  The panel will reportedly include a discussion with "The Hateful Eight" director and a handful of unspecified actors regarding its production, its roadshow release which is slated to open later this year, and the film's notable 70mm format.

Chris Hardwick of Nerdist will be hosting the panel which is said to be screening exclusive footages from the film as well. Though there is no confirmation yet regarding which of the cast members will be making an appearance, it is noted that "The Hateful Eight" stars Samuel L. Jackson ("Avengers", "Barely Lethal"), Kurt Russell ("Furious 7", "Poseidon"), Jennifer Jason Leigh ("The Machinist", "The Spectacular Now"), Michael Madsen ("Sin City", "Free Willy"), Tim Roth ('Selma", "Planet of the Apes"), Walton Giggins ("Django Unchained", "Predators"), Bruce Dern ("Nebraska", "Django Unchained"), and Demian Bichir ("Savages", "Machete Kills").

Tarantino's newest flick follows the story of a gun-toting group of eight who are forced to take refuge in a mountain lodge after a snowstorm hits the area.

The Civil War-era pic is set to have an exclusive two-week US roadshow in 70mm nationwide starting in December 25, competing with Alejandro Inarittu's "The Revenant" which stars Leonardo de Caprio. A digital theatrical release of "The Hateful Eight" is then slated to follow in January 8th.
