The popular game Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation is currently on the works. Plot rumors about the movie continue as fans hope that the movie adaptation, does not end up as a disappointment.

Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's is a popular video game that has acquired a strong pool of followers in its three previous instalments, and the fourth instalment reportedly underway. Many praised the game for emphasizing the fear in the idea of an approaching threat than the arrival of the threat itself.

On April, Warner Bros. bought the rights of the widely popular video game, Five Nights at Freddy's with plans of taking it to the big screen. Given Hollywood's history of movie adaptations of popular games like Doom, Wing Commander, and Blood Rayne, fans are now concerned as to how the movie will end up, and so a video has been released by Youtube's Typhoon Cinema and Deviant Picture Films that could serve as a pattern/guide for the movie. The video later garnered positive comments from the game's  fans.

As to the production of the movie, Cawthon will be involved in the screenplayand the movie will be produced by David Katzenberg and Seth Gramahe-Smith of KatzSmith Productions and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment. No release date has been announced yet, and the previously reported 2017 date has been proven false.

Meanwhile, several rumors and theories surfaced as to the movie's plot. One theory suggests that the movie could reinvent the entire story to reduce the debate about the Purple Guy, the Phone Guy, and the Golden Freddy.

Based on another theory, the movie's creators might make a backstory of the film which would explain why the Purple Guy killed a child outside the Fredbear's Family Diner. Rumors also circulate that the movie might be a continuation of the story in Five Nights at Freddy's 3. Creators will possibly make a timeline of the story of the Purple Guy which will answer the questions about the character that gamers only encounter during flashbacks.

A theory about creating an animatronic point of view has also been suggested which will allow viewers to have a different perspective in the story. One suggestion indicates that instead of watching from the employee's point of view, getting Freddy or his friends' perspective about the events might be effective.

More details about the Five Nights at Freddy's movie adaptation is expected to be revealed soon. Meanwhile, several teasers have been released for Five Nights at Freddy's 4:The Final Chapter'.
