The fans of Sherlock and Dr. Watson might still be hopeful for Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes 3", but the actor Jude Law seems to be already losing hope for the long-delayed third installment of the "Sherlock Holmes" series. Law, who plays the role of Dr. John Watson in the film, expresses his doubt in the sequel saying he is not sure if it will happen and if he will be included in it.

It has been nearly four years already since the second installment of Ritchie's action mystery film, "Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows", came out but there is still no confirmation whether part 3 is going to happen anytime soon. Even one of its lead actors, Jude Law, admitted that he does not know whether the sequel will be pushed through or not.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Law wearily expressed his uncertainty of "Sherlock Holmes 3". "There is apparently still a will [to do it], there is a script being written, but I'm not sure," the 42-year-old actor said.

Just last month, Law briefly discussed the sequel in an interview with Extra's AJ Calloway. As per Crossmap's report, he said to have commented that he would be willing to reprise his role in the forthcoming movie. However, he stated that he still was not approached by its producers.

Last time around, "Sherlock Holmes" and "Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows" smashed the box office earning $500 million each. According to FashionnStyle, the second movie even scored $20 million more than its original film.

If the third film happens, there is a great chance that it will be as successful as its predecessors but with Law's doubtful comment regarding the progress of the sequel, it looks like "Sherlock Holmes 3" is not yet coming back to the silver screen anytime soon. And if it will be really pushed through, there might be a possibility that the next "Sherlock Holmes" film will be without Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.

Do you think Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes 3" will make it to the big screen? Do you think the sequel without Jude Law as Dr. John Watson will be as effective and successful as its predecessors? Jude Law definitely has an explanation on teasing whether a second sequel is bound to happen for the movie or not.
