Liquid Robotics had raised US$45 Million in financing, specifically Series E financing. The main investors include Riverwood Capital in the company's quest to develop autonomous ocean robots and ocean data services. Another participant is VantagePoint Capital Partners.

The funds raised would be used for Liquid Robotics' expansion in terms of global sales, partnerships and services organizations in meeting with the increasing demand for ocean observation and monitoring data and research.

According to Bill Vass, Liquid Robotics CEO, "Liquid Robotics is driving a major shift in ocean observation and surveillance. We are doing this through the delivery of high value ocean data services and products providing significant cost savings and reduced operational risk to clients around the globe. With the additional investment and introduction of Riverwood Capital to our team, we are now well positioned to scale and accelerate our sales and service offerings to deliver even greater competitive advantage for our customers, partners and shareholders."
