One of the exciting things that fans look forward to in "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 is the revelation of the identity of Lily's father. In fact, diehards of the show are eyeing "Forever" star Ioan Gruffud to play as Lily's mystery dad. Aside from finally learning who her father is, it is also worth mentioning whether Lily will help the Save Emma squad in finding Merlin.

The identity of Lily's father was never revealed during the fourth season of "Once Upon A Time." When it was revealed in season 4 that Lily, played by Agnes Bruckner, is the long-lost daughter of Kristin Bauer van Straten's Maleficent, fans were quick to ask who could her father be.

Some OUAT fans speculate that Lily's father could be the great sorcerer, Merlin, and those active fans are rooting for Ioan Gruffud to play the role. While the "Forever" star, together with the fans of the show are still currently waiting (praying) whether it will be picked up online or not, diehards of the Jennifer Morrison-starrer are hoping that Gruffud will consider joining "Once Upon A Time."

Since Lily's character will be very much elaborated during "Once Upon A Time" season 5, will she lend her hand to save Emma from being the Dark One? Now that Hook, the Charmings, and Regina will be on a mission to look for Merlin, the only wizard that can banish the darkness for good, Lily's decision to help them could also lead her to her real father.

One thing's for sure however, that the conflicts in "Once Upon A Time season 5" won't be easy to resolve especially that the Savior could possibly be the main villain. Dark Emma could even induce Hook to join the dark side, which could just spark more crises.

"Once Upon A Time" fans will definitely be ecstatic if Ioan Gruffud decides to join the show as Merlin, save Emma from her dark side, and finally reunite with his daughter, Lily. The possibility of Lily helping Emma to become good again is also something to watch out for when the ABC fantasy series returns.
