The Texas Rising was premiered on History Channel on May 25, 2015. The History Channel mini-series has introduced this gut wrenching Texas Revolution - its battle for independence and the battle for the future of America. History Channel unveils the Texas Rising for five days in the course of three weeks.

This mini-seires stars Bill Paxton who plays the role of Sam Houston, the man who fought and secured for Texas' independence against Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto, Olivier Martinez, the Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Emily West and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays the role of Deaf Smith, a Texas Ranger to name a few.

Texas Rising is expected to showcase a massive amount of blood shedding while learning the legendary rip of the Texas Rangers - described as the oldest law-enforcement organization that lies on North America with state-wide jurisdiction. History Channel this time around depicted the drama that was happening back in the days where fighting for one's life seems to be deemed necessary.

It has been a battle cry since Texas was mutilated by the Mexican Army almost 180 years ago. A dilemma was being dealt with ever since if those who fought for Texas' independence to be considered as heroes. History Channel dramatizes events after Amo's fall and spread conservative politics that for Texans, the Battle of Alamo became one of the enduring symbols of heroic resistance to oppression way back in time.
