Attack on Titan Season 2 Premiere, Spoilers: Next installment closely based on existing 15 Tankobon Volumes in 2016; Humanity in Chains debuts in US this May

The much-anticipated anime, Attack on Titan Season 2, is confirmed for a 2016 premiere date, voice actors Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), Yuuki Kaji (Eren) and Marina Inoue (Armin) had confirmed the delay and revealed that it'll be moved to next year.

The anime, which was first aired on 2013 with 25 episodes in Japan and become one of the most popular mangas not just in Japan but also in other neighboring Asian countries. Attack on Titan was considered as a commercial success by the many after selling 45 million volumes in print as of November 2014.

Attack on Titan season 2 first announced to air its second season sometime this year but it seems like the production team had chosen to delay season two to wait for more chapters to be published first before airing the television anime adaptation and moved the premier of the second season in 2016. 

According to some online reports, fans can expect season two to show less filler episodes compared to the previous one, this is after fans had requested that TV adaptation should stay true to the existing 15 tankōbon volumes.

Aside from the television series, the Attack on Titan franchise has a lot in store for its fans for this year including a game and a movie. The movie, which was entitled Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom will be released this coming June 27. It will cover the last 12 episodes of the Attack on Titan Season 1 as the Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow which premiered way back in November 22, 2014 covered the first episodes of season 1.

While waiting for the release of the Attack On Titan season 2, international fans can look forward to the release of game from the Attack on Titan franchise, to be release in US this coming May, The Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains.
