Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is already stuffed with superheroes. The film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, with rumored apperances from Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. All these characters, of course, will spin off into their own films, but will we see the beginnings of Aquaman's solo film in his appearance in Batman vs Superman?

Jason Momoa's already been stirring up a ton of buzz on social media, and is quickly catapulting his portrayal of Aquaman into one of the most talked-about characters in the fledgling DC Comics cinematic universe. But there's little that fans actually know about his role in next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Given that director Zack Snyder already tweeted a picture of Momoa in full Aquaman costume, it would make sense that the film will it least feature a fully costumed Aquaman. But will the character have any fight scenes? Will he get to harpoon a few villains using that trident? Will he get the hook hand his character regularly sports in the comics?

There may actually be more than one upcoming film setting the stage for Aquaman's solo film. Common recently joined the cast of Suicide Squad, a film already bursting at the seams with supervillains. And the rumor mill is stating one thing above all- that Common will be playing the classic Aquaman villain, Black Manta. With that in mind, could Momoa pop up somewhere in Suicide Squad? Will the name Aquaman even be mentioned in David Ayer's black-ops supervillain action pic? Hopefully the rumors can paint a clearer picture in the months before Suicide Squad's release.

Meanwhile, a recent rumor points to Jason Momoa appearing in a new trailer for Batman vs Superman, along with the fully costumed Cyborg and Wonder Woman. The rumors claim the trailer will drop at Comic-Con- which is only a few months away! Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
