The Microsoft Lumia 840 will be arriving in the coming months to replace the Lumia 830 which did not exactly come flying off the shelves. The Lumia series is a bit more affordable than other smartpfones while still trying to provide the same features offered by others. The Lumia 840 sets out to do just that.

The newest version will apparently be reserved for the flagship Lumia 940, but at least for the time being the Lumia 840 is said to come with the display size around the 5 inch mark like its predecessor but will carry improvements in other areas. The Lumia 840 is gonna come with Windows 8.1 GDR2 pre-installed.

This device will also feature a 5 inch 720 x 1280 resolution (HD) screen.A quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU are said to also be in the works. Moreover, it will come with dual SIM capabilities and a 13-14 MP rear Pureview camera. It will have a 5 MP front-facing snapper along with a 5 inch screen,dual net flash and optical image stabilization.

According to one Microsoft employee who chooses to stay anonymous-"So, we have some info about one such mid-ranger in works, that may pack Dual-Sim support, 13-14 MP rear camera (PureView), 5 MP FFC, better processor and may sport similar or slightly modified design to Lumia 830. While it is not sure what the name may be, we may call it Lumia 840 for our convenience. This device may have a screen size around 5-inch."

There is something about the Microsoft Lumia 840 that people will find attractive. Maybe it's because the design stands out among the crowd of the current smartphones that are all riding pretty much the same way.

We do not know for sure when the unveiling of the Microsoft Lumia 840 will be but we do know that Microsoft worked very hard in the lab to come up with a product better than the Lumia 830. It is slated to hit the market October of  this year but this is just a tentative date. People are excited and they have good reason to be.
