ABC's "Once Upon A Time" inches an episode closer to the season 4 finale with their "Mother" episode, which according to reports might focus on the life of Queen of Darkness Maleficent. After all, her character is the only "mother" relevant to the season's story at the moment given the revelation that she is Lily's mother. The episode could provide more flashbacks about her character and possibly tackle her relationship with her long-lost daughter.

Some reports say that it could still be about Emma and Lily's relationship since their paths are destined to be intertwined. In the last episode, Emma went to look for Lily after learning that she is Maleficent's daughter. She was joined by Regina who is also on her way to warn Robin about Zelena. When Lily and Emma finally met again, the two engaged in a brawl after the latter found out that her childhood friend is plotting against Mary Margaret and David. But the fight was also sparked by bad memories from the pasts revealed by the flashbacks.

The violent confrontation of Emma and Lily also showed the Savior's fight against the dark side. However, it seems that Regina is going dark too quickly rather than a gradual slide to being sinister. One moment in the "Lily" episode showed Regina pointing a gun to her friend. Good thing Regina was able to talk some sense to her and was able to halt the fight. Does this imply that Regina will become even darker towards the finale?
