Avatar 2 will be everything as promised and more. Avatar 2 is a planned sequel to the 2009 blockbuster hit Avatar. It has been 6 years and filming will only begin later this year. Keep in mind that construction of the equipment and set literally takes years and costs millions of dollars.

Cinematic release was supposed to take place in 2015 but production delays and a complex script have caused them to push it back 2 more years.The highly anticipated 2nd installment won't hit the theaters until December 2017.

Avatar was an epic science fiction film created by James Cameron. This is the same man responsible for the movie Titanic and it's fair to say he knows what he's doing.

Avatar 2 will explore the oceans of Pandora, a lush habitable moon in the Alpha Centauri system. James' team has been developing underwater motion capture technology for this purpose alone. This is what Cameron said when talking to The Hollywood Reporter:

"In the second and third films, which will be self contained stories that also fulfill a greater story arc, we will not back off the throttle of Avatar's visual and emotional horsepower, and will continue to explore its themes and characters, which touched the hearts of audiences in all cultures around the world. I'm looking forward to returning to Pandora, a world where our imaginations can run wild."

Most of the stars from Avatar will be returning for the sequel. Stars like Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington,Zoe Saldana and Giovanni Ribisi will reprise their roles for Avatar 2. James had this to say about the returning characters," "Basically, if you survived the first film, you get to be in the second film, at least in some form."

Avatar 2 wil take 8 years to make but something tells me it wil be well worth the wait. When it hits the theaters in December of 2017, we will be treated to the third installment in December of the following year. 2017 cannot get here soon enough.
