The release of the OnePlus One had been a surprise hit to the market last year.  It had become one of the high end phones that had made a mark to the market. But will this streak continue with the release of its successor, the OnePlus Two?

If one could recall last year, OnePlus One was released with an Invite-Only strategy. There are news that the OnePlus had lifted this invite -only strategy for the OnePlus One but will be still be using the same strategy for OnePlus Two. This would mean that the latest mobile will be produced at lesser volumes.

"The OnePlus 2 will bring the challenges that come along with a brand new product, and initially, our invite system will help us to manage that risk. It also helps us to be sure that every OnePlus 2 user gets the amazing experience that they deserve." - Carl Pei (via PC Advisor)

According to the tweet by Carl Pei, OnePlus Two will be available by the 3rd quarter of the year and is not delayed.

OnePlus Two is said to sport a Snapdragon 810 processor with a 4 GB RAM which will make it advanced performance wise. The mobile will have a 3,300 mAh battery and a OnePlus One ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It will still be sporting the same 5.5 inch model but its screen will be upgraded to a 2K resolution.

With regards to its prices however, OnePlus is giving the market a lesser price as compared to other high-end smart phones. The OnePlus One starts at 299 US dollars for a 16 GB model and 349 US dollars for the 64 GB model. However, recent reports for the OnePlus Two is that would be considerably higher given that there had been speculations that it will be sporting a metal frame. According to Business Insider, it might cost around 500 US dollars.
