Fifty Shades of Grey recently graced anxious fans of the self-titled novel sequel last Valentine's Day of this year. Despite its successful launching, the film's director refused to participate in producing Fifty Shades Darker, the second novel of the book series Fifty Shades of Grey. Will we ever see Fifty Shades Darker portrayed into film or will we just enjoy Christian Grey and Amanda Steele's scandalous romance through the pages of the novel?

Fifty Shades of Grey turned out to be a blockbuster hit when it graced the film industry last February 14, 2014. The film's budget was at $40 million and yet, it earned a whopping $556 million since its official release. Since then, fans have been anticipating Fifty Shades of Grey: Fifty Shades Darker to grace the screen once again.

Despite the film's success, Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson refused to do the second novel's movie rendition. Reports indicated that the books' author, E.L. James had numerous disagreements with the director during filming. Furthermore, the film's writer, Kelly Marcel, followed suit.

With the absence of a director, reports indicated that the second film will still continue producing Fifty Shades Darker. This was verified through a signed contract of Fifty Shades of Grey lead actors, Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastacia Steele). Despite reports saying that Dornan will not be playing Christian Grey anymore due to his wife's distaste in seeing her husband do outrageous sexual scenes on screen, the signed contract indicating his participation in Fifty Shades Darker state otherwise. With this, Fifty Shades Darker will start productions by 2016 and shall be released by year 2017.

Additionally, reports also state that the casting for the Fifty Shades Darker has already been finalized. According to a source, Cara Delevingne, the model/emerging actress, is going to appear along with Dornan and Johnson for the second film.

With the absence of a film director and the casting already finalized, will Fifty Shades Darker push through for a 2016 release? Will Cara Delevingne  appear in the upcoming sequel? Post your comments below.
