Featuring newcomer, Tekken 7 added three new characters to join roster reported. Bandai Namco announced that these characters will appear in the upcoming game release. Though it remained unreleased since it was first announced in 2010, the release date might unlikely be this year.

There are possible reasons why would the game launching might not happen this year conclusive. Based from some sources, Bandai Namco has made no further announcements confirming the official release of the crossover fighting game of these two big amazing titles, Tekken and Street Fighter.

Four characters were already been slated, Jin Kazama, Devil Jin and Ryu, Evil Ryu from Tekken and Street Fighter characters respectively. Since Josie Rizal, a rumoured Filipino character, will join the team, there might be possibility that the development of the said game is still on-going.

Yet, since the last revelations made by the game developer which was about the continuous game development of the crossover, there was nothing updated. Thus, about not having it this year is close to reality. Not unless Bandai Namco will announce something new to the fans this month, at least.

Another report stated that the game developer might possibly release the entire gameplay by next year. Having 40 men working behind the game seemed unhelpful to finish the game as early as possible. Aside from that, Katsuhiro Harada already had said before that they are not in a rush. So, avid Tekken X Street Fighter gamers wouldn't expect any crossover game from them this year.

So far, what is new is that the Tekken 7 arcade version is already available as it was released last March 31, Tuesday. These characters were also featured there, except Devil Jin to follow by April 7. Aside from that background details about Josie was also mentioned as per previous reports.

According to these sources, Josie is now confirmed Filipino, as the name hints. Josie Rizal was taken from "Jose Rizal," the Philippines' national hero, who is said to be a crybaby yet a strong woman fighter.

Other than these, no updates yet were recently announced. But these updates are for individual gameplays which are for sure will arrive this year. However, for the Tekken X Street Fighter Crossover, no latest news is currently available.
