Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 is set to be released this year with expected specifications to suprass its previous Galaxy Note 4. However, recent news have revealed that changes of specifications that could affect the upcoming phablet's performance might happen as the Korean company is dropping orders from one of its suppliers: Qualcomm.

Currently, the Korean company's flagship devices are the Galaxy S5 Android smartphone and the Galaxy Note 4 phablet. The Fuse Joplin noted that it was the Galaxy Note 4 that gave big contributions to the profit sales of the company especially in the third quarter last year, with the marginal sales of Galaxy S5.

The phablet was considered to be a big hit for Samsung users since it offered impressive features and specifications. And Samsung is currently developing an upcoming Galaxy Note 5 that will offer superior specifications than its predecessor.

In terms of display, there were rumors saying that the upcoming Galaxy Note will show a 5.9-inch size that will support a 4K display and Ultra HD Technology. Under the hood, the phablet could possibly wear an Exynos 7420, an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory, which could be expanded up to 128 GB too. Its camera quality will offer an 18 megapixel on the rear and perhaps a 6/7 megapixel camera on the front.

However, other rumors said that Galaxy Note 5 will be built with a Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm that will have a minimum 4 GB RAM. Will it really have a Snapdragon 810 chispet?

Recently, various reports seem to contradict this rumor. Samsung is said to be no longer considering ordering Snapdragon 810 from Qualcomm.

Reports by DigiTimes stated that Qualcomm is believed to have lost the orders of Snapdragon 810 chipset for the Galaxy S6 series due to overheating issues and, instead, use Samsung's own Exynos chips. The Korean tech giant seems also not conitnuing its orders from Qualcomm for the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 due to the perceived reason of overheating too.

However, Qualcomm is said to be"striving to win processor orders for Samsung's Galaxy Note 5".

InvestCorrectly stated that Qualcomm made an announcement at the Mobile World Congress that Snapdragoin 820 will be relased in the 2nd half of 2015, which coincides with expected release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

If Samsung will really drop orders from Qualcomm, it could come out with different specifications such as an octa-core Exynos processor at 3.2 GHz (if not Exynos 7420), a 4 GB RAM, an inernal memory between 32 and 64 GB with microSD extension slot, a rear 19 MP camera with optical image stabilization support, and a 4.7 MP front camera.

Lastly, Samsung Galaxy is rumored to come out with a catchy curved metallic body.
