The dreaded killing machine known as Predator is now coming to "Mortal Kombat X" together with some other characters new and old to the franchise.

News of the monster's addition actually came first via an advertisement for the Xbox Store, but it would seem that the reveal was an accidental one.

The Predator character was not supposed to be revealed until a day after the advertisement first spoiled the news. Even with the apparent leak, Nether Realm still went forward with the official trailer revealing the addition of the by then now Predator, according to Crave Online.

Predator joins Jason Voorhees, he of "Friday the 13th" fame," as the movie monsters included in the game, but there were other characters revealed in the trailer.

Tremor was also introduced as a member of the roster, according to Cinema Blend.

To fans unfamiliar with Tremor, he was a character previously playable on the Playstation Vita version of "Mortal Kombat 9," and as his name would suggest, earth magic is his forte.

Another character calling back to the earlier days of the franchise now added to the roster is Tanya.

Tanya made her last appearance in "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon." She fights using her acrobatic skills and complements those with a deadly dose of fire magic.

Tanya, Tremor, and the two movie villains are all characters players can acquire through DLC packs for "Mortal Kombat X."

Aside from the characters, the DLC packs also contain "horror skins" for some of the characters in the game, according to Tech Times.

Characters who can feature the "horror skins" include Ermac, Reptile, and Mileena.

All of the additional characters, "horror skins," and even "klassic skins" are included in the "Kombat Pack" DLC currently available for $29.99.

"Mortal Kombat X" will be released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on April 14.
