A new poster for the upcoming fifth season of Game of Thrones was released two days ago on their Facebook page. The poster featured Tyrion Lannister on the bow of a ship, staring at an approaching dragon from the cloud-covered Narrow Sea. The photo was posted along with the words "Rally the realm and spread the word."

While there has been no official statement as to which dragon Tyrion is facing in the shot, many fans such as Business Insider's Steven Tweedie say that if we were to follow the books, this particular dragon may be Drogon, one of Daenerys Targaryen's beloved 'children'.

The image also suggests that Tyrion may have a bigger role in the next season. At the end of season 4, Tyrion got aboard a ship that was heading to Essos in an effort to escape his pursuers after he was framed for poisoning his nephew King Jeoffrey Baratheon. As Tyler McCarthy puts it, Tyrion may team up with Daenerys to help her reclaim the Iron Throne.

It wasn't just the poster that got everybody excited. More recently, HBO officially released two teasers that told us what to expect this upcoming season. Most of the previous teasers were largely clips from the previous season, but the two newer ones brought us something that we have never seen before.

The first clip featured a discussion between Jon Snow and Mance Rayder regarding his true motives for gathering the 90 wild clans together. The exchange between the two men was somewhat heated, with Snow berating Rayder for his failed attempt of the South Wall campaign.

The second teaser featured a troubled Brienne of Tarth, telling her loyal companion Podrick Payne that she 'is no leader', and that all she ever wanted was to 'fight for a lord she believed in.' Their discussion also hints on Brienne's self-doubt and her weariness in continuing her mission.

Get ready as Game of Thrones Season 5 hits television screens on HBO on the 12th of April.
