February would soon be over but the dread caused by the domain seizure of Kickass Torrents still lingered at its doorstep. However, it seemed that the giant file-sharing website had been accustomed to making sudden shifts in its operations as could be seen on its earlier reports.

In a previous entry on their website, subsequent to the domain seizure, Kickass Torrents narrated that challenges file-sharing sites, such as theirs, endured in their daily operations. The report said, "over the past few years we have been experiencing the website change its domain name and move to new areas." However, they assured their users that the site remained strong despite these challenges. They added that, "the site itself has kept active during the changes."

The domain change has been an annual activity, which Kickass Torrents has been accustomed to as it move from one country domain to the other. They mentioned at the report that "though the domain extension is new, the name itself has remained the same and the old domain redirects to the new one, so nothing has actually changed for the users and they are still able to reach the website as always."

This business strategy worked well during the shutdown of The Pirate Bay. In another report, some observers hailed the proficiency of pirates to "adapt." It was Kickass Torrent that fully benefited from this skill of file-sharing website users. The report said that, "if there's one thing we've observed, however, it's that pirates adapt. Technologically, proficient users would've immediately switched to other torrent providers" They added that though "non-proficient users may lag," they could "simply ask" for help over the Internet.

This very basic observation could have led Kickass Torrent to project proactive measures on how to sustain its operations despite being annually tracked and temporarily shutdown by country registrars. Perhaps, Kickass Torrents knew early on that it was never how they fell, but how often they immediately rise after each fall.
