"Indiana Jones" reboot is on the drawing board in Disney's pre-production table. The production studio is carefully planning the upcoming film and there have been rumors that Chris Pratt is going to take the lead role in the latest Indiana Jones film. Steven Spielberg may want to get involved in the upcoming reboot as what he has done in the past instalments in the film franchise.

According to a recent report, it is too early to determine on whether Steven Spielberg would want to get involved in the new adventures of Dr. Henry Jones. Even though it makes a lot of sense for Spielberg to take the helm once again in the upcoming reboot of "Indiana Jones", considering that Chris Pratt is his hand-picked star for Jurassic World, it is too early to set things in stone. First and foremost there is no script yet for the upcoming movie and Disney is being careful in the path that they are going to take.

Another report also states that at this point, there are no contractual obligations yet between the parties. However, there is no doubt that the reboot will gain respect considering that Steven Spielberg was involved with it. Spielberg as involved in all the four original films in the Indiana Jones franchise, from the earliest installment last 1981, Raiders of the Lost Ark until the 2008 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Even though there is still ambiguity in the pre-production, cast and crew of "Indiana Jones" fans will still be able to see a new installment in the film franchise.

Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm was able to get the full rights to Indiana Jones last 2013 and everyone is waiting for the giant movie producer on what are their plans for the film franchise. According to reports, CEO Robert Iger recognizes that the company is treading more cautiously with the new adventures of Indiana Jones compared to the continuation of the Star Wars Saga. There were also rumors that the Indiana Jones character may be reiterated and rebooted several times like how the James Bond character is rebooted. Another rumor is that production and shooting for the film may start anytime on 2016 or 2017 and a 2018 release date can be scheduled.

"Indiana Jones" reboot is now being carefully planned in Disney's drawing table. While they have yet to announce an official announcement for the new adventures of Dr. Jones, fans can definitely expect something new from the Indiana Jones film franchise.
