'Devil May Cry 4' Special Edition release date is confirmed to arrive this summer on the current gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, Capcom to run at a remastered 1080p at 60fps graphics resolution, Capcom has announced.

Released back in 2008 on last gen platforms, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, 'Devil May Cry 4' special edition will hit current gen platforms with a promised addition of new amazing features.

For one, the gamers will now be equipped with the ability to play as Vergil from what's revealed on the last few minutes of this video trailer for DmC: Definitive Edition.

"As alluded in the trailer, we are indeed also confirming the existence of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, which is apparently coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next summer (2015) and has something to do with that blue guy," GregaMan hinted on theCapcom Unity blog. "Not sure what, exactly. Guess you'll all just have to start guessing. ;D"

Information on the release of 'Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition' is scarce at this point but game developer has stated that more details will be announced in the succeeding months.

Capcom offering two separate 'Devil May Cry' games to PS4 and Xbox One seems to be an interestingly intriguing move that prompts people to think of what their motives or purpose could be but this has been explained by Ninja Theory boss, Dominic Matthews in his reported press release.

"When creating the original DmC, there were improvements that we wanted to make, but never got the chance to," Matthews revealed in PlayStation Blog. "In DmC Definitive Edition, we've made those improvements."

The DmC Definitve Edition will only be available as a digital download and will be sold for both consoles at a retail price of $39.99. It would be safe to speculate that these will be true for 'Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition' while fans wait for more details to emerge soon.

'Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition' is slated to arrive on Xbox One, PS4 by summer 2015 and will be joined by 'DmC: Definitive Edition' which comes out this March.
