Microsoft has not announced any details yet as to when the exact date for Surface Pro 4's release, but what is certain for now is that it is will be out in the market this year in two variants.

A report from Gospel Herald suggests that the latest Surface Pro will be available in 13- or 14-inch display and the smaller and more portable 8-inch version.

Display specs will most likely be more than Surface Pro 3 which only has 2160 x 1440, a quite impressive screen resolution already.

However, for tech geeks, this resolution enhancements shall focus on the hardware similar to what Samsung uses on its Super AMOLED quad HD screens for Microsoft to enjoy the same success as that in the fourth quarter of 2014 brought by Surface Pro 3.

On top of that, 4G LTE cellular functionality for laptop and tablet devices aside from its imminent redesign is also expected.

Meanwhile, Intel's newly developed processor Core M Broadwell chip might also be part of the enhancements. According to the report, Core M's fanless processor frees up space and a cooler running temperature. Surface Pro3' Haswell chip is said to consume 30 percent of energy, higher than Core M.

Rumors have it too that the Atom 64-bit chipset and Windows 10 is a little bit impossible, but might be shocker for fans. Windows 10 has been featured in an event earlier this year and is anticipated to go out this fall.

Although Surface Pro 4 has unconfirmed key features yet, built-in storage capacity is expected to reach 16 GB.

Recently, Microsoft dropped the Surface Pro 3's price already by $100 which strengthen reports that its successor is coming up sooner than later. The third generation Surface series two-in-one tablet/laplet recorded a respectable sales numbers which brought Microsoft's fourth quarter revenue $1.1 billion, 80 percent higher that 2013's the same quarter.

The Surface Pro series makes one of the most successful product of the tech giant along with Xbox One and Xbox 360 after the arrival of the third generation.

Initial reports say Surface Pro 4 sells at $899 for the large version and $599 for the still-unconfirmed 8-inch mini version.
