Grey's Anatomy will return on Thursday after its winter hiatus. With Season 11 coming out, fans are excited and wondering what to expect from the show's latest offering. Can Meredith and Derek make their love work?

According to TV Guide, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) need more than just a simple Post-it note to make things work between them. The married couple is trying to see if they can survive the rigors of a long-term relationship. Derek is to move to Washington, D.C., and Meredith isn't very happy about the news. Her husband had accepted a job to work for the President of the United States.

In the sneak peek on the show's official Facebook page, the clip shows the couple reliving their hastily said vows at the altar. By the looks of it, Mer isn't feeling too sentimental about it. It will certainly be a teary scenario for fans of the show.

The show will also be sure to start off on another weepy scenario as Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) will be dealing with their unborn baby's life-threatening disease. "There's such huge stuff coming! And it's so top secret we can't even tell you who it involves," actress Jessica Capshaw said in an interview with TVLine, "At the table read, people were crying. ... There's no relaxing. There's no calm before the storm. It's just storm. All storm, all the time."

It was revealed that the baby has osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease. Shonda Rimes, creator of the show said that the show will have a "powerful plot."

"For Jackson, who is a man of science, and April, who is a doctor filled with faith, it is going to be a very interesting struggle," Rimes said in an interview.

"Grey's Anatomy" returns on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
